Building Better Opportunities - new partnership requirements

The Big Lottery Fund (BIG) has created a summary of their partnership requirements for the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) Programme.

What is the BBO?

BIG plans to match fund up to £220mn of lottery funding against the Promoting Social Inclusion and Combatting Poverty part of the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 Programme.

When will the funding be available?

BIG is expecting to launch their first calls for outlines in June 2015. If you are successful at this stage you will be invited to the second stage, where they will ask you to provide more detail.

Funding will be available in most Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) areas in England. Note that projects will need to meet local priorities as defined by each LEP in their strategies.

Note that most of the funding opportunities that will be available are better suited to partnership working as the bids will be quite large, from around £500,000.

How to get involved?

You will find information relating to BIG’s expectations for lead partners, partnership structures and agreements, management of the funds and delivery in their summary of partnership requirements.

There are also many free events taking place across England on the BBO Programme, see our website or contact the organisation providing support in your area by clicking on your LEP area
