European Social Fund Community Grants - South East
Although the official deadline has passed, the 2014-2015 ESF Programme is still open for applications as funds remain for organisations and projects based in Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley and Kent.
Please note this is not the final deadline - it is expected that the scheme will stay open until all the funding has been allocated.
Grants of up to £15,000 (dependent upon funds remaining at time of application) are available to third sector organisations in the above areas whose projects support the most disadvantaged individuals to access educational opportunities or enter into employment. Proposed beneficiaries will be facing huge barriers to public services and will either not currently be in paid employment or will be economically inactive.
Priority will be given to projects that target:
- Lone parents.
- People with health/disability problems.
- People aged 50 years and above.
- People from ethnic minorities and diverse communities.
To be eligible, voluntary and community organisations must have been in receipt oflessthan a total of £300,000 income over the last financial year and have no more than nine full time equivalent staff.
The grants can support a wide range of activities for unemployed residents aged 19 years and above. Projects could: offer help with basic skills or job searches, provide taster work experience placements, build confidence and self-esteem, or provide first point of contact engagement activities.
