ESF community learning grants – helping people back into work. North West

Deadline: 31 March 2014 00:00 (01:00 CET) | Value: £13,500 (max) | Area: North West

This is to fund activities and courses supporting individuals who are out of work, helping them to access employment or further learning and training.

You can apply for these grants if you are from a constituted community and voluntary group, registered charity or social enterprise that already plays an important role at grass roots level, providing intensive support to those individuals that are most disadvantaged in the labour market.

158 groups in the region have already received £2 million of ESF funding over four previous grant rounds in 2012-13.

Now it’s your turn!

Are there any requirements?

There are no match-funding requirements.

  • Beneficiaries now have to be 19 years and over
  • Eligible applicant bodies must not employ more than 9 full time equivalent staff
  • Eligible applicant bodies must have a turnover of less than £300,000 per annum
  • All project activity must end by 31 May 2015

How do I apply?

In order to streamline the application process and cut down on the frustration of ineligible groups spending a lot of time on a full application, there is a simple online pre-application assessment, and if eligible this lets applicants download a simplified application form.

A sample copy of the form, together with Guidance Notes, is on the How do I apply page on the WEA website.

Attend Information events
