It has therefore now more important than ever for civil society organizations to demonstrate their social and economic contribution and the key roles they can play in helping LEPs deliver their strategic aims and outcomes. This workshop will help equip organizations with the knowledge and understanding they need to individually and collectively engage with LEPs effectively.

The workshop will also provide an opportunity to:

  • Hear how LEPs are responding to the Big Lottery Fund’s opt-in (matched funding) offer.
  • Hear from other opt in/match funding providers – including Skills Funding Agency and Department for Work and Pensions
  • Share good practice from across the South West about effective engagement with LEPs

The workshop is designed for anyone within voluntary organizations, social enterprises, trade unions, equalities groups, environmental organizations and wider civil society who wants to better understand LEPs and how they can work with them.
