EU Commission conference on social policy innovation

he conference will report on the experiences of the recent past and examine more in depth how EU countries will be best supported for social policy innovation and social policy experimentation through the newProgramme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI).
The event will also analyse how EU countries are starting to put in practice the priority given to social policy innovation in the new programming period of the European Structural and Investment (ESI) Funds, in particular the European Social Fund.
Commissioner László Andor will open the conference, which is structured around four thematic sessions:
- Social policy reforms: the role of social policy innovation, social investments and knowledge-sharing
- Social policy innovation: using the potential of ESI Funds
- Partnerships for innovation in social policies
- Evidence-based research relevant for policy making
