About European Funding Network
The Network is an England-wide network of voluntary organisations. It provides advice, support and a forum for the exchange of information to make sure the ESIF, ESF and other EU funds are doing the best job they can.
What we do
We provide visibility of the current European Social Fund (ESF) programme by providing advice and support on how voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations can access European Funding representing the interests of civil society on national programme monitoring committees providing information on ESF through publications and events.
NCVO’s European Funding Network is guided by approximately 30 key experts on EU funding from across the sector including social enterprise, cooperatives, charities, and key local networks.
These members have extensive experience in the field of European Structural Funds, supporting organisations accessing the funds, providing strategic input in the development of programmes, raising awareness of project opportunities and disseminating good practice.
EFN’s membership reaches across all geographic and thematic areas including the environment, youth, health, rural issues, entrepreneurship and operates under cross cutting themes such as gender equality, sustainability and diversity.
Part of NCVO
On 1 September 2011 the Third Sector European Network (TSEN) merged with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). TSEN was formed in 1995 and its work, with the support of the European Social Fund, continues within NCVO’s European Funding Network.
